Burger and potato wedges

Hi, so we haven't posted anything for a while now. The reason is mainly because we actually don't really cook things that we haven't already posted here. But a couple days ago we made some Burgers with home made potato wedges and it was awesome!
You should really try making your own potato wedges. Just cut some potatoes, add oil and seasonings and put them in the oven.

Chinese Cabbage with Pork and Rice

Hey everybody!

I just wanted to quickly share a yummy recipe with you before I'm going out tonight. The amount I used was enough for two smaller servings or one reeeeeally big serving. As I'm not talented with cooking the exact right amount food for any number of servings, you might need to judge yourselves how much you need ;)

First, pick some Chinese cabbage leaves and wash them. I used around a third of the cabbage which probably was a bit too much for one serving...

Of course, you'll need some rice. And some meat. I used pork (approx. 80 gr), but you can also go for chicken or turkey.

Cut the cabbage leaves into strips. You can cut multiple leaves at once as it's faster and it doesn't need to be done very neatly.

Then fry the pork strips and add the Chinese cabbage strips when the pork is golden. Don't worry, that pile will shrink as it cooks. If the Chinese cabbage gets burnt, add a little bit of water.

You can add any spices you want, I like to add a little bit of salt, pepper and soy sauce. You can add or leave out anything you want.

Et voilà! Enjoy that delicious and healthy meal :)
(Note: I didn't pile that entire cabbage onto the rice bed for aesthetic reasons ;))

Best Chocolate Cake EVER

Hi folks!

We wish you a happy happy new year! Hope you all arrived safely in 2015 and ate some nice, festive meals the past weeks ;) Holiday time surely is THE time to gain weight :)
To support that weight gain process, we'll show you the best chocolate cake ever! In the past days, we already baked this twice and it's so yummy! The recipe we used is this one here (only German) and we'll show you some step-by-step inspirations.

Melt 500g of dark chocolate and 250g of butter

Mix 200g of wheat flour, 1 package of baking soda (~8g), 8 eggs and around 200-300g of white sugar (depending on how sweet you want the cake to be)

Mix both chocolate and dough together and pour it onto a baking sheet.

Bake the cake at 200°C for 20-25 minutes.

Matsche-Patsche

Hey guys!

Some days ago, I made some "Matsche-Patsche" which is a name that Demian gave to that dish. It's one of his favorites and I cooked that for us as Demian was sick that last weekend. It's pretty easy, so I decided to share the basic recipe and some step by step photos. I'm not saying that it's perfect, but it still tasted really good ;)

1) First, you'll have to cut and prepare two red bell peppers, four Wiener sausages (I've chosen some with cheese inside, but you can take any that you like) and two onions. Start cooking 250g Penne pasta in the meanwhile.

2) Fry the onions and the sausage pieces and add the bell peppers.

3) Add tomato sauce or blended fresh tomatoes and spices as you like. Serve pasta with the sauce.

Enjoy!

Hallo Leute!

Guten Appetit!

(2) Add Sprouts and a generous amount of Soy Sauce until dark brown. You can also add some onions or other vegetables if you like.

(3) Prepare 200g (dry) Mie Noodles in boiling water (see instructions on package) and add them to the mixture. Fry for another few minutes, until the Soy Sauce is spread evenly.

Onion&Meat love Parboiled Rice

We made this for dinner yesterday and ist was soooo great. Basically we just diced meat and onions, fried them together in a pan and added cooked rice. So delicious! Yet you should also be a fan of onions if you want to try this one ;) At least we are - definitely :)

Potato gratin with steak

After our new French roommate showed us his receipe for potato gratin we decided to try it ourselves - and here is the result. Enjoy :)

And for dessert we had some delicious vanilla pudding.

Und als Nachtisch gab es lecker Vanillepudding.
